There's more to music than the cult of celebrity, and what makes making music meaningful to Ashley is the power of music to connect, give hope, heal and inspire.
For the release of Aftershock in 2010, Ashley partnered and shared a portion of her profits with Mental Health America to create a 3-city CD release tour promoting mental and emotional well-being. Following the tour, MHA invited Ashley to Washington, D.C. to speak and perform at the organization's annual conference with more than 200 attendees. The following year, Ashley created a video PSA promoting meditation and mental health that remained on Mental Health America's website homepage for more than 2 years.
An alum of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, Ashley was asked to provide original music for two separate campaign videos produced to promote Gamma Phi Beta's philanthropic endeavors, including empowering young girls.
